Introduction To Roulette
Deemed as the simplest and easily understood
game at casino. As easy as it can be, it demands
a greater house edge, and if you are willing to
sacrifice on the house edge, roulette is the
game.
The thing which makes roulette different from
the rest of the other table games is that its
chips has no value denomination printed on them.
The chips are called a check, and the table
comes with 6-8 sets of different colored chip
with each set comprising of 300 chips. A
specific color chips will be given when a player
buys-in and the chips value will be divided by
the number of chips received. A token of that
color chip to indicate the value will then be
placed by the dealer on top of the dealer's
stack.
United states rule
The roulette wheel comprises of 38 numbered
slots with number 1-36, a zero and a double
zero. The betting layout shows the individual
number and a host "outside" or combination of
numbers. After bets are placed by players,
dealers will spin the wheel and a ball, and
subsequently, the ball will land in one of the
numbered slots.
Single zero rules
These rules apply to most high-end casinos which
having single-zero wheels, such as Las Vegas,
Atlantic City, the Grand in Tunica, and Foxwoods
in Connecticut. Single zero-wheels usually ave a
greater limit then double-zero wheels.
Exceptions would be at Nevada Palace in Las
Vegas, which has a single zero wheel with a
25-cent minimum. The house edge on an American
single-zero wheel is 1/37, or 2.70%.
European rules
Roulette is played on a single wheel in the
Europe, and uses the "en prison" rule where the
players either gets back half the bet back or
becomes imprisoned when he/she makes any even
money bet (red, black, odd, even, 1-18, 19-36)
and the ball lands in zero. When an imprisoned
bet wins on the next spin, it is released and
the player gets it back, without winnings. This
rule is similar to "La Partage" rule, which
offers halfback with exception of imprisonment.
A controversy occurs to the imprisoned bet, when
the ball lands in zero on the next spin.
** As for the moment, we have not exact
information regarding which rules Sands or
Resort World will apply but we shall update it
once we received the confirmation.
Number placement
The numbers on the wheels may appear
disorganized and evenly distributed, with an
obvious pattern colored red and black
alternatively and 2 odd numbers alternate with 2
even numbers. However, this distribution of
numbers was carefully arranged so that the sum
of the numbers for any given section of the
wheel would be roughly equal to any other
section of equal size with most numbers are part
of a pair, with one number between them.
Subsequently, these pairs add to either 37 or
39. And surprisingly, the sum of all numbers in
roulette is 666.
Wheel tracking
Rarely biasness occur in modern casinos as there
is strict maintenance and quality control.
Hence, cases where roulette wheels are biased
due to uneven weight on each side, leading to
numbers in the heavy side to be hit more other
are seldom heard nowadays.
Precision spinning
Dealer rarely determines the outcome of the
spinning as there is a specific force required
by the casino of the dealer when he/she makes
the spin.
